Dudes in tech don’t want you to know that learning how to code can actually be super easy and fun. It opens up a whole new world of creative projects! It’s honestly wild how we’ve made STEM subjects feel like they’re way harder to master than others, or that they’re all just about cold logic while creative stuff is for “artsy” types. Learning to code reminded me so much of learning to play an instrument — if you just put in like 10 minutes a day, you’ll see progress fast. Plus, once you get the hang of the technical rules, there’s so much room for creativity.

i did coding as a major for some time, and for the life of me could not figure out the logic of the thing 😭 i tried so many ways and eventually switched majors to something i actually like, but i also don't want to lose the basic skills i acquired, do u have any recommendations on how to progress? i'd love to hear them!

bimbofication I think info presented at universities can sometimes be designed for people to fail i.e. “weed-out classes.” Find a beginners project on youtube ! there are tutorials on weather apps, ping pong games, etc that are helpful. If you get stuck, lots of members of reddit pages like r/learnJavaScript are super responsive

python and coding in general can be frustrating and time consuming but imo, it is so much more fulfilling and worthwhile to put in the work and do something yourself so that you can understand how it works and eventually learn to go even further with the ideas you have! developing the skills to do what you want and more is an invaluable tool that you should never let AI take from you. sure it may give you an output close enough to what you want, but knowing how to code could help you improve it at the very least. not to mention credibility issues with AI
