living in the south, ive never really had a proper “snow day” or blizzard, and for the first time got to experience waking up to a world covered in white! ive been up north and experienced deep snow, but never quite such a consistent heavy snowfall like this was. whatever its a sign of, it was still a pleasant day.

its so beautiful. this is my first time seeing legitimate snow in my life. i've lived on the southern coast my entire life and have only experienced little sheets of ice that we desperately labeled as snow. i envy people who are able to experience this every winter; it certainly is magical.

i live in the deep south and today it snowed 4 inches. this is the most snow i’ve ever seen in my life and it felt like i was living in a whole new world. the peace and serenity the snow brought feels like i stepped into heaven for just a day. the quiet around me as it fell was so so deafening. the snow quieted the whole earth.
i know what it means to get this kind of weather, but i wouldn’t let that bother me today. i sat under a small wooden porch and listened to elliott smith’s song angel in the snow while it drifted down around me. i sat down in heaven, just for today.

got 35cm of snow last night and woke up to a text from my boss saying not to come in today :) genuinely haven't seen this much snow since i was a little kid, something incredibly romantic about it

had such a blast conversing for a few hours with my mom and a friend of hers, who is simply the coolest. such a cool brain to pick, and an excellent storyteller. its my day off from work, and was thinking of just vegging out on my own, but im so glad ,for my brain, that i was a part of that conversation.
