Great ask. Lamy Rollerball pens are my go-to, they have a really good ink flow and feel comfort to write with for extended periods of time. I like their fountain pens but Iโ€™ve found that once you replace the ink cartridge they never work as well.

its so fun. theres so many types. abundant cheap options to get into. i recommend looking at jet pens website for both articles and pens you can buy. its a topic with tons of history, but is still modern and active. i have a kaweco aluminum sport which is my favorite but i also love the lamy safaris. could go on for hours about this lovely invention

they're nifty, elegant, and fun. all the little things that make up a fountain pen are very cool-- nibs, ink cartridges and converters, clips, oh and of course, INKS! some fountain pens are for calligraphy, others for everyday use. there's beginner-friendly ones and super fanciful ones, too. i like them all. they can be cute or they can be classy, have your pick. you can be a lamy loyalist or a twsbi truther. as for me? i'm with the kaweco kind. much love to my pilot pals always. they can be an expensive hobby, so i make do with my humble, tiny collection.

Incredible book that changed the way I appreciate art. Honourable mention to G. by John Berger, fiction but also excellent.
