This is a great folk album from John Martyn! There’s a couple of covers but most are originals, really beautiful lyricism and overall sound. This album is reminiscent of a lot of British folk music and was released during the 60’s, amazingly he recorded this when he was just 19!

Martin is the frontman for Real Estate.
I might like this solo album better than any of his band's work, which is saying something.

this is one of my favorite live albums everrrrr actually probably top three but only bc i cant think of any others rn lol… my dad plays the guitar and has a love hate relationship with john mayer: loves him bc of his bluesy passion and talent and loves his songs and covers… hate bc he is jealous that it comes so easily to john and he was so young and talented and can create magic on a guitar HAHA but we love john mayer regardless… i grew up listening to this in the car on the way to kindergarten, on the house stereo system on the weekends, and eventually on my teal ipod nano. my favorites are obviously gravity, slow dancing in a burning room, vultures, and i don’t trust myself loving you mostly bc the guitar in those is soooooo beautiful i don’t even know how he makes the guitar sing but i melt every time i listen. i am obsessed with and possibly attracted to this album in a strange way i cannot understand but i fall to my knees spiritually everytime. i know all the adlibs and sing like i am the guitar and this is such a silly thing to be so passionate about but it truly boggles my mind. i never listen to studio john mayer anymore, only live. and that’s all that’s my rec. happy monday!

I think that we should bring back just making random shit because you literally can. And it doesn’t even have to be good, I think art is sometimes more exciting if it’s not that good. sometimes.
