a brisk and incredible read that happens to have a setting that is completely at the whims of the sea, a labyrinthine, infinite collection of corridors lined with ornate statues, inside of which an ocean is imprisoned. it’s a great evolution of borgesian magical realism with beautiful prose and a hook that sunk deep into me early on, i lamented closing the final page for weeks after

-Aaron West & the Roaring Twenties - conceptual side project of the lead singer of emo cornerstone The Wonder Years, he plays/writes the character of Aaron West across three beautiful alt country albums
-Venturing - Jane Remover's side project, great rock/contemporary shoegaze, album out valentine's day

bleak, ruinous, claustrophobic, beautiful outsider house / techno music from one of the genre’s finest. clicked for me last year and became a great companion for wintertime wandering in the city
