I was walking on Haight and Ashbury in San Francisco in 2020, dooming about what that place was probably like in the 60s and how cooked it is 60 years later, when I saw these amazing paintings and sculptures in the window of the RVCA store. I was surprised because I had never imagined liking something in the RVCA store, but walked in and discovered this very talented artist. Her paintings, then and still, use color and texture in the best way and are so beautiful to me. I looked her up on instagram and DMd her asking if she ever sold her work. She said they were $500 and up. I couldn’t scrap that together at the time, but fuck, I really wish I had, because now she’s art world famous and I’ll likely never be able to afford something of hers again. Trust your gut

I have been collecting art my entire adult life, starting from my days 20 years ago as a student at RISD. When I see something I love, I do not hesitate to buy it. At this point, my walls have no room for more art, but that does not stop me when the art is really good. I am obsessed with my latest art purchases, these prints by LA artist Nick Pini. Abstract figures rendered with digital charcoal, giving me all the right energy and attitude. I bought Caught This For You and No Nightmares No Dreams because I instantly connected with them. I framed one of them in this Neon pink frame and it’s perfection. Ok now I want to go buy more...gotta go!

Wish u could put more than 1 image on a post theres so much of her work i love to show people . been following her since like 2021 when all i knew was she made the gecs stuff (She still does ! whenever they do stuff that is)) & ive been a huge fan ever since . the gecs stuff is all very tongue in cheek text , great texture/distressing , Awesome handdrawn logos , great little cliparts etc . All with lots of swirls & wizard stuff & goblins & whatever. very fun . I did a project in my highschool graphic design class on her work (& on Kikillo who , no shade ,, i am not Nearly as fond of these days lol) and it was a lot of greens and fun text and texturing etc . But as time goes on her work has gotten more sort of ethereal & magical, my favorite stuff being these giant—feeling collages(?) that feel like paints & serums & stews Kindly thrown together . like this is exactly what Magic looks like in real life . im repeating myself . Recently i was drunk & i dmed her on instagram & was just like Hi i love your work so much . Want to unsend but it would be untrue to my heart because i really meant it . Great Stuff❕

the best and easiest to access archive of free movies I've seen on the internet. this google drive folder has thousands of films and basically covers the entire history of tasteful, cool, and/or groundbreaking cinema. there are deep cuts like Abel Ferrara's debut feature - 9 Lives of a Wet Pussy (a porno from 1970) - and classics like Barry Lyndon. There's hundreds of random DVD extras, a bunch of licensed stock footage, curated collections in folders like "Male Manipulators" and definitely a lot of stuff I haven't figured out yet. It's kind of an unorganized shit show in there but you gotta dig through dirt to find gold, so just shut up and grab ur shovel. I wish I found this when I was a teenager because it would have changed my life.
