I used to feel that way a lot but honestly once you're with the people you like and something funny happens or you try a new thing at a new place you remember like "oh this is life". I don't know if that makes sense but sometimes feelings get complicated when you think about them.
Feeling deep connection will ebb and flow with all people you know. I don't think things have to be deep to matter. Just experience it all and have fun with the little superficial things too.

kinda vague & all encompassing, but truly connection in all forms keeps me going.
this could look like love or belonging but it’s more than that! it’s a feeling of being intertwined and interwoven with Life itself.
it’s a connection to people, self, nature, animals, art, music, history, etc.
when you feel that sense of connection with something, it just feels so light and blissful, you feel involved in life/the world & less alone, you understand yourself and feel an hopeful openness that’s indescribable ✨

But everyone in the world is a little like and unlike everyone else. There is a wonderful sense of learning in that, and seeing how the patchwork of their personalities are inspired/evolved/derived from others-though it can be tiring to keep at it, which has become the sign for me to take a break, be with myself etc etc.

More specifically, watching your favorite rom com and then your crush's favorite rom com (is there an adult word for crush), back to back at the same time as they are watching them. But instead of the social exhaustion of video calling you just text while you watch them. Even better you guys like each other mutually, so it should be exhilerating, but they cannot and will not be with you so instead it's just a lesson in your terrible self restraint. Exhilerating anyway. Good movies, good conversation. Unbeatable.
