everyone’s all trying to figure out the same things (everything basically) all at once when they’re in college. remember to give yourself grace, life takes time and often doesn’t follow a clear path- trust in yourself

let go of control, show up as the version of yourself that has it all, and just trust that everything will genuinely be okay

going through some similar motions and this measely tiktok comment unironically did like +1000 healing to my psyche. really, the key is to remember you can only do so much at once. overexerting yourself will make you too tired to consume the fruits of your labor. they will rot and/or you will not enjoy them this way. find happiness in the little, fleeting moments you’re able to foster for yourself and bite off only what you can chew. besides, you want to make sure not to do things in haste. you want a solid foundation for future you and your contentment and don’t want to find any cracks in it later down the line…

“Once I get my body right/my money up/my skin cleared up, it’s over for y’all!” And if you don’t do any of that, cool! That doesn’t make you any less valid! Things take time. We only have so much of it in this life and we spend too much of it thinking about ourselves. Forgive yourself. Forgiving ourselves for being where we are in the present moment frees up mental capacity for us to more meaningfully engage in the world and live outside of our own thoughts. And that’s what feeds our souls. Not looking or being perfect.

how gentle of us to make a wish on a star or an eyelash or a dandelion - what a beautiful way to dream so big and so casually. it’s free, you’re free!

I loved being 19, it felt like the age I was supposed to be. I miss 19, I can’t wait to see what other years will feel like being 19 when I get older. Aging used to scare me a lot more, now I’ve realized the world is kinder to me as I’ve grown up, and I’ve grown kinder to myself too. I hope to smile enough that one day it’ll never leave my face again.
