Weirdly I've been listening to this obsessively for the past month, unsure of why this album specifically. What a nuanced, vulnerable, powerful project. Bright Eyes have hit a lot of highs in their career but this might be Conor Oberst at his most approachable, lyrical, and musical.
“at the bottom of everything” and “lua” had me in a chokehold when i first heard them after my older stepsister dragged them onto my ipod lol.
