i could literally stay in childā€™s pose for hours but i fear when i came out of it i would have a permanent red circle on my forehead. it opens the hips and releases built up tension, it clears the sinuses, it relieves headaches, itā€™s a good stretch for the shoulders, it stimulates the third eye pointā€¦yoga with adriene describes it as ā€œentering your own personal love caveā€ because when you open your eyes, all you see is the little spaces between your nose and your knees and your mat, and it makes me feel like iā€™m chillin in the womb again in the best way. if people hit childā€™s pose more often i think there would be peace on earth.

goated pose. if i donā€™t do any yoga that day i still cannot go to bed without hitting childā€™s pose for at least a couple minutes

My favorite yoga instructor Starlite has us sit in this for who knows how long (time ceases to exist) and itā€™s a phenomenal practice of detaching from your thoughts and feelings and finding a sense of peace even when uncomfortable. I find myself craving this pose and I can feel when my body needs it. I choose to believe that it somehow is beneficial to my entire system because years ago I decided to look up the soles of the feet through the lens of reflexology and I remember there being pressure points for every organ. I am a better functioning human thanks to broken toe pose, and you can be too šŸ™

Itā€™s so yummy delicious to stretch your body in all sorts of poses and directions, let your thoughts gradually fade away as you gain more focus on your body, become aware of every inch of itā€¦ perfect way to end a day if you ask me :)

it's this app where you can create a shortcut on whichever app(s) you want (i.e. social media ones you spend too much time on), and every time you open those apps, it makes you wait like 10 seconds and shows you how many times you've opened that app in the last 24 hours. has literally cut my social media usage by nearly half and makes me way more intentional about social media use bc half the time i'm opening those apps out of habit.

i am genuinely astonished at my fortune to have such loving, caring, compassionate, hilarious, sexy friends. been feeling some feels this week and then i talk to one of them for like 5 seconds and i instantly turn rainbow like the star power in mario kart and everything is wonderful again. this is your sign to call your friends and tell them you love them, or better yet, if theyā€™re physically nearby, plant a gentle kiss on their foreheads and buy them a pizza as a token of your love. can you tell i havenā€™t been sleeping well? iā€™m deliriously and deliciously full of gratitude, my belly is full to the brim with it!
