My sweet baby that I found in a parking lot during a storm. She enjoys being held like a baby, kisses on her face, being the little spoon, and laying in the window . Dislikes men, goob, moving (which we are in the process of doing) and her stomach being touched.

This is Kitty
Her name was Alia at first
But because I am a fool I called her Kitty too much and Kitty is who she has become.
She is a sweet, but very shy cat.
She is now three years old.
She likes to sit by you, but not on you.
If you get lucky, she might lay next to you while you sleep.
Sometimes I try to share with her a piece of raw salmon or steak with her while I cook.
But she never takes them.
She much prefers carbs.
She does not beg for human foods, except for carbs.
She loves bagels, pastries, and toast.
Don’t worry, I don’t give her too much.
She weighs a perfect 9.5 pounds.
For a while I thought Kitty didn’t love me that much because she was so shy and skittish.
But now I see that Kitty loves me very much.
She just shows it in less obvious ways.
Like when she stares at me across the room, lying down with her eyes relaxed.
Or when she playfully pounces at my legs when I walk by.
Or how she lies beneath my desk while I work from home, purring softly.
I love Kitty.

this is my cat Dottie! i could talk about her for hours. her favorite things are licking scallop flavored Churu, being massaged between her shoulder blades, getting brushed, spooning with me, crunching catnip Greenies, and biting my boyfriend's legs whenever he gets out of the shower for some reason. her vet told me make her lose 2 pounds and she literally won't let me. if i don't give her "enough" kibble at night she digs her claws into my scalp at 4AM and screams in my ear. at one of our apartments with mice, she actually flayed a mouse. when i found it it had no skin or feet, but the head was still on. she's insane. she is only allowed outside on a harness and eats grass like a pig, and while cooped up inside likes to patrol for bugs and chitter at birds through the window screen. she is very sweet and welcoming with all strangers who visit our home. worst thing ever is one time she had a UTI on some New Years Eve or Christmas Eve idk and it was so scary and dramatic, so now i always make sure i have at least enough money to pay for an emergency for her, i will not eat if i don't have enough money for her, The Dottie Fund.

I have been selected by the cat distribution system twice! I found one in 2020 and the other in 2021, they were both kittens I found on the side of the road (Peanut and Spooky) one incredibly malnourished and the other fat (she had worms🤦🏻♀️)
One thing I’ve found when caring for kittens at a young age is they need help going potty! Their moms would typically be grooming them and helping the potty process, but if the mom isn’t around a warm compress can be used, wiping the area in a downward motion will help stimulate them to go potty.
Keep their faces clean, especially when you’re using formula still, it sticks and hardens quick! Potty training is so much easier the earlier you start, hold the kitten and gently move them backwards in the litter, you can even put the 💩 they may leave elsewhere to help them associate the box with potty time. NEVER encourage them to think hands are “toys“ best to introduce them to wands, crinkle toys, fake mice, etc. All kittens are different when it comes to affection and when they want attention, best you can do is take note of what your cat likes and dislikes as it grows and respect boundaries.
