meet up with a friend and do side quests all day. take a seabus. run into her sister. get pierogis. explore weird office buildings that you might not be allowed to be in. get stuck in a stairwell. have a photoshoot of a plant in the aforementioned office building.
plans are stupid just do stuff whenever you feel like it

my morning plans got cancelled, so I had a big chunk of my day completely free to just roam around the city & really take things in.
the world looks & feels incredibly different when you’re not rushing to get from point A to point B on a tight schedule & have the freedom to just observe without any looming time constraints. such a lovely feeling & I gotta remind myself to take pauses more often so I don’t feel like I’m getting sucked into an incessant work/errands/appointments loop with no end.
today was a lovely reminder of that!

planner, agenda, whatchamacallits — draw in them!!!
i love having a hand-drawn snapshot of the day. the drawings do not have to be good at all (clearly…), just something to spark your memory so that when you look back at your year, you remember what you were doing. waaay better than only writing the event in the planner in my opinion :>

working at a library, i sometimes stumble across things people leave in books (typically as bookmarks)
here are some highlights:
- a small canvas painting of a family (presumably done by a child)
- an Italian stamp, issued 1938 (?)
- a joker from a deck of cards, and then subsequently the other joker from the same deck of cards in a different book
- a gun wrapper folded around the top of a page as if it were one of those magnetic bookmarks
- various pokémon and magic the gathering cards (albeit, more pokémon than magic cards)
- and a leaf.
