Love this app, it's wonderful, thanks for your work! Some color themes make it difficult to see whether you've liked/starred something or not (like the star looks yellow before you've clicked it and when you do, it's tough to know if it's been properly selected). It would be awesome to tweak the color pallette of the pre-like/star state on those themes.

Someone mentioned being able to reduce the site's motion, and that's 100%โ€”but I also think changing text font/size, overriding profile themes (basically making every single page on the site show in the theme you chose for your profile and the base site only), things like that. I need high contrast and some of the themes hurt my eyes.

arguably part of the user experience, but I find the all white main page a bit hard to read sometimes? Maybe having the option to use colored titles or categorizing Recs in topics and giving the boxes a slight tint or outline? Maybe I just need to rewire my brainโ€ฆ.

This red background color and the magenta one (#f211c1) don't pass accessibility check. It literally hurts my eyes to see such a bright colors and i can hardly read the small text in recs. Can you try some other color options? You can use this website to check if they would be suitable for web: https://colourcontrast.cc/

Echoing the value of rest๐Ÿ’— consider the 7 types of rest and see what areas might feel nice for you to incorporate into your day/week rn. There are some great tools out there (esp. if therapy or doctors visits are inaccessible or just not the right path for you) to support mental health or creative practices. Some free/web available resources I trust are The Artists Way by Julia Cameron (caveat that this has some chat about spirituality, and for some folks that may not be a great fit, but super useful otherwise), Thinking Traps Tutorial by Dr. Raquel Martin or any of her free resources really, and symptom journaling generally. Would be glad to share both wider or more specific reccs if desired. And just know it takes time but it's not forever that you'll feel dispassionate. Sending lots of gentleness and warmth to you.

Tidal's services cost less, audio quality is superior, pays artists better; has an algorithm that does not filter people to the top grossing artists in their listening genre and is all around excellent, the app is trimmed down, it provides a weekly analysis of your listening (so a more frequent and representative breakdown). Fuck spotify, and if you're not ready to move to a bandcamp only purchase/download + MP3 situations then Tidal is your one. I'm sure this is not a new take, but I will say I am over the moon about the switch so far.
