Daft Punk : Discovery’s giant music video

Sorry it’ll be actually my third super french intervention but I need to talk about Interstellar 555. I recently discovered that some of my super french super close friends have never SEEN THIS MASTERPIECE, which is basically a collaboration between Daft Punk and Kazuhisa Takenouchi , to illustrate their album Discovery released in 2003. Interstellar 555 is a musical animated movie drawn by Leiji Matsumoto that basically uses all the songs from the album to create a 68 minutes science fiction story. It’s brilliant, it’s gorgeous, ngl it feels very nostalgic to watch but it’s a duty to acknowledge this fundamental art.

Electroma

This is def on the surreal side, as there's no words or speaking. Just music, and cinemetography. It's by Daft Punk but it's not their music. It's basically designed after their Human After All album. It was made in 2007 but now in 2024 I find it even more profound!!! but this is deffff on the indie/thought provoking/lowkey side and not for everyone. i have it on dvd but it shows up on youtube a lot! xx here's a great write up on it from 2007 too!: http://thoughtsonstuff.blogspot.com/2007/12/daft-punks-electroma.html

Yellow tea

This is Sanxia Yellow! the grass of a green tea but more malty & a bamboo sweetness, I had 3 steepings & I think it tasted best on the 2nd, the first was quite sweet. Notes: dry grass, bamboo, steamed soybean I drank it paired with sweet potato 🍠
