camera technology has pretty much peaked, so it is fun to see folks start to make different lenses that deliberately make the image quality worse. pocket dispo is a 3D printed pancake lens that mimics the lens of a disposable camera, making all your shots look a bit fuzzier and a little more saturated than your typical camera lens. this thing is 50 bucks and makes taking photos infinitely more fun. took this photo of my dog and it looks like it is 1995.

i love disposable cameras and film cameras but i find them hard to use. so i opted for a paper shoot camera ❤️
1. i can get that film effect without having to develop film
2. it’s more environmentally friendly, since you’re not disposing cameras and films. there’s an sd card so i just need to plug it in my laptop
3. lessens my phone addiction lol
4. cute, customisable cases and very handy to bring everywhere because it’s so small and compact

got a $40 digital camera bc i kept running out of storage on my phone. it is so fun and the quality isn't perfect, but it is nostalgic and dreamy, and shoots well in bright light. at some point having every function in one device became, somehow, addictive AND boring. more dedicated media devices in 2025!

they are two of my favourite things on earth because i always feel pure euphoria when riding on a roller coaster and/or laughing my heart out with my best friend. to me they make life worth living because i can’t laugh or ride roller coasters if i am dead. they both are a part of my core, my being- they make me who i am. i am so grateful that i get to experience these simple pleasures of life.
