The biggest rec I could give if you don’t use it already, is use Tubi! They have so much available for free with ads. They also have pretty robust documentary section most of the time. They seem to have quite a few queer culture related documentaries which I very much appreciate. Here are some documentaries I have watched on Tubi that I like: The Big Lonely (devastating) Drag Becomes Him Dirt Woman Desert Coffee The Wolf Pack Dear Zachary Dr. Delirium and the Edgewood Experiments Who Do You Want Me to Be? Warriors of the Discotheque Glory Daze (not the movie) MarJoe The Dog

I couldnt decide so in no particular order •Bloodsisters (1995):Great documentary about the San Francisco leather dyke scene in the 90s, amazing look into personal dynamics, terminology, you also get to see the 93 Washington gay and lesbian march as well as the Ms. Leather pageant. Michell Handelman truly preserved something special •Wojnarowic:F**k you f*ggot f**ker(2020)- a pretty recent doc that truly shows the brutality of the Regan administration to the gay community during the AIDS crisis and also give roses to one of the most criminally underrated artist of that time. The title is also pulled directly from David’s paintings born from a homophobic doodle he found on the sidewalk.

The first titles that come to mind are Rotting in the Sun & All of Us Strangers. Both a bit dark and different than the films you mentioned though. I also heard Passages is pretty good and pretty sexy. When it comes to lesbian films I’d recommend Blue is the Warmest Colour in case you haven’t seen that yet. If you’re up for starting a new series: It’s a Sin.

i actually don’t think i have a singular favorite queer movie but i’m recing pride since it is lesser-known (despite having a great cast!). it’s based on a true story and highlights a beautiful intersection of the labor and gay lib movements! when i went to london i visited the bookstore from the film (gay’s the word). bound is also a favorite of mine! :) i recently watched saving face and loved that one too. the incredibly true adventures of two girls in love (which i have rec’d before) is also a favorite. bodies bodies bodies, bottoms, jennifer’s body, and but i’m a cheerleader as well!

My name is Shawna. I responded ā€œoh my god! My name is Shawn, too!ā€ Then stuttered through saying ā€œwait, no, that’s not my name.ā€ and since I was so anxious I just rambled for way to long about the difference between our names.

Why not go through the process of blending those images yourself? Why not use process as an experiment? Why AI? What part are you playing? What makes it yours? I think AI is impersonal. I think it is unethical when it has relied on the theft of actual people’s actual physical (and because of the nature of art, often time emotional) labor. I also think it is unnecessary in creating art. I also think the environmental impacts are atrocious. I also think AI’s biggest supporters are being maliciously ignorant because it’s a fun new toy. Is it ease? Is it efficiency? People talk about accessibility as if children don’t use crayons and stickers! As if graffiti artists don’t use postal labels as sticker, as if sand mandalas don’t exist, as if cardboard and tape aren’t in over abundance.
