Born again (raye is an insane lyricist)

Yea it’s new, yeah it’s not that niche But it’s a phenomenally written song, and a gorgeously produced song (like you can’t tell me that funky bass isn’t unexpectedly perfect) and all 3 of them (Lisa, Raye, Doja) absolutely fucking killed it. Listen to Born Again (and watch the mv it’s so cool) (this right here a small shoutout to alter ego by lisa, great album I need it on vinyl asap)

Worth it. - live at montreux jazz festival by Raye

In tandem with my last post, this track right here is pure bliss. Raye is such an ethereal gem and so talented that I'm gobsmacked that she is real. The original studio-recorded track is amazing, but the live version is magic. The riffs, the runs, her heartfelt intro, the saxophone solo, and all the other random nuggets that make the live track into the exuberant joy it is! Plus, the album cover is so cute! Look at those fonts and smiles!!

staying up late watching rom coms and delivering commentary via text

More specifically, watching your favorite rom com and then your crush's favorite rom com (is there an adult word for crush), back to back at the same time as they are watching them. But instead of the social exhaustion of video calling you just text while you watch them. Even better you guys like each other mutually, so it should be exhilerating, but they cannot and will not be with you so instead it's just a lesson in your terrible self restraint. Exhilerating anyway. Good movies, good conversation. Unbeatable.
