been listening to her Other World EP for the last couple of rainy weeks in LA. 4 songs, 20 minutes, and sets a somber yet poppy tone for a short drive. her latest single from last year is also stellar, really love the simplicity in the production. could easily fit in with late 80’s synthpop/industrial (depeche mode, soft cell). nice change of pace. check it out ⬆️

From her 2nd EP ‘I Did’ ! The outro!!!! It’s currently starting to trend on some corners of social media but even upon first listen I was just stunnneddddd. It’s a reminiscent, longing feeling that is evoked from it. You feel like the reel of your life is being played in front of you. Yves is an all time artist to me and I’ve been following her since 2017, and her new solo endeavors have been amazing, I know that this is the year she skyrockets into fame. Love her!!!

I feel weirdly sad about L Devine, a great pop artist who has been trying to make it for a while. her EP “near life experience” was one of my favorite pop projects ever, but it didn’t really catch fire back in 2021. since then she’s left her label and seems to be floating around in indie artist purgatory. her latest album still has that awesome songwriting I’ve come to expect, but you can tell she isn’t working with the same resources marketing or production-wise. I just hope she can find her niche someday. anyway, give L Devine some love! even Charli XCX calls herself a fan. my favorite tracks: - “Naked Alone” by INDIIA feat. L Devine - “Girls Like Sex” by L Devine - “Higher” by Wave Racer feat. L Devine - “Priorities” by L Devine - “Push It Down” by L Devine

Teresa is her government name from the county shelter. wasn’t calling her that (but i’ve heard from so many people that she LOOKS like a Teresa) so on the drive home i started calling her T.T. since that was her initial. myriad of names include: Titi peepee tipi sleepy chichi pedorri (farter in spanish) little shit shitter 💌💌💌

what i do like about graffiti is how it can liven up an otherwise meaningless and unassuming building/area. there’s some tagging that is of course obnoxious and unnecessary but in some areas, it just shows you that there’s an ounce of culture/humanity in what would sometimes be just any other industrial area. i’m thinking of warehouses and industrial areas of los angeles that have some bold, colorful, and sometimes outlandish work that can be fun to admire. theres the infamous graffiti tower in downtown that was also cool af. it gives a lot of pop to our often very bland and grey scenescape. there’s definitely some skill here that i do NOT have and enjoy seeing it more often than not.
