The little things

Every night when I tuck into bed, I look forward to the little ritual of removing my socks with my feet. There’s something so satisfying about the sensation of foot to blanket that isn’t achieved if you just pop into bed barefoot. It’s also like a little challenge - how does the dexterity of one food compare to the other. Difficulty also varies depending on sock height. Some days I go right sock off first, others left. This also creates the unique situation of a massive reservoir of socks at the bottom of the bed. Who can relate?

having favorite socks

seems mundane tbh but not all foot coverings are created equal and there’s something extremely inviting about a warm pair of visibly nice socks and idk maybe it’s weird i think about toe comforts this much but it’s actually a rly cool thing to think is cool actually

Socks, all the time

Constantly wearing socks indoors is very ladylike (or "good" for people who are scared away by gendered language). Putting socks on immediately after showering and drying off is the only way that you can know for sure, when your head hits the pillow and your feet hit the end part of the bed, that you are not tracking dust or dirt inside. I don't mind how many pairs of socks I go through in a week.
