Sometimes I will notice different things on different stereos. The one in my living room is very good but it’s not where I listen to the most music, so what it reveals can be surprising.

Yes! And listening to it in different ways - speakers, headphones, car… I often notice higher pitched sounds when listening on tinny phone speakers even.
