I haven't used YouTube consistently in ages. I've randomly been getting suggested dj sets for all genres, and they're kind of everything to me. I've linked the set I'm currently listening to. Please suggest other DJ sets to listen to. Fuck Spotify this is where I live now.

I absolutely love to listen to dj sets on YouTube. My favorite channels include Book Club Radio, L'atelier de musique, My analog journal (MAJ), and Black House Radio. In any of these channels you will find amazing sets. My ultimate go to sets are Miami Bass and Ghetto tech mix by DJ Nico, and More Brazillian Samba Grooves with Batukizer <3

You can try listening to mixes uploaded to SoundCloud in your favourite genre. I normally discover one or two tracks I like in a mix by a radio, DJ or producer whose tastes I already trust. A consciously selected vibe beats generated by the algo. If you like a DJ or producer, they might have mixes online from a radio show on SoundCloud or their own profile. My mix recs: Soulection Radio Huge collection. They’re my flagship for soul, rnb and afrobeat. I also recommend checking out the individual profiles of people who work for the show like Sasha Marie and Sahar Habibi. Delta Waves by Galimatias

I’m obsessed with only listening to music through YouTube channels that get 200 hits per video. I’ve found absolute gold in all of these channels and the auto play on YouTube is great! NTS and Do You Radio are two of my daily listens — NTS has a tracklist function too + a huge archive of mixes. Searching a favourite track on YouTube and then filtering by playlist is also really fun. Takes a little scrolling. Discogs and bandcamp are both marketplaces I often dip into for some discovery. Both have user-made lists. Discogs you can go down great rabbit holes by digging into a particular artist/musician/producer’s entire body of work. Bandcamp good for new grassroots music. Soulseek if you don’t mind a little piracy is also great. You can browse people’s entire music libraries. Some are really thoughtfully organised. There’s something oddly endearing about getting an impression for who someone is simply going off how they’ve organised their music and what they have.

I wanted to develop my personal style more so I started taking pictures of every outfit I wore outside of the house (even the ones that I thought were bad/ugly). I made an album of my favourite outfits to scroll through when I need inspo from my own closet. This eventually helped me shop less because I could see what I already owned and enjoyed. From there I could see how certain pieces fit me and what pieces I really liked on myself. It also highlights what kinds of items are missing from my closet. Scrolling through also just helped me find something to wear that I would feel good in when I had a bad mental health day.
