this year I’m working on detachment. this one facet of that though has recently taken the cake for me. i can’t ever remember not liking my brows. my natural color and the shape of them, in fact they’ve been my favorite thing about my face tbh. my roommate has been trying to get me to bleach my eyebrows and I finally had a burst of ‘yolo’ (lol) last night and said ‘you know what? Hell yea. do it, before I change my mind’ Did y'all know bleach fucking hurts?? Anyways. The outcome? Cunty Ass Alien. I keep going back n forth between loving them and hating them. Right now I love. But who knows how I’ll feel an hour from now. Either way, would highly recommend detachment from parts of your face that you feel secure about. I keep thinking if I still hate them by next week I’ll dye em back to black and if my eyebrow hairs fall out they’ll grow back and if they don’t I’ll find another part of my face to fall in love with and obsess about and figure it out.

I had been doing it with makeup for Going Out purposes forever, and finally did it for real a few weeks ago. I was scared because frankly it’s the kind of thing a Confident Person does, and I ain’t one of those. But I did it, and it has forced me to be more confident in my appearance because I did something wacko to it and have received a lot of positive feedback and I feel mysterious and oOoOh LaLa and Targaryen.

started doing the whole thin eyebrow thing a couple years ago after bleaching them then redyeing and thinking they were too much. it's cool to an extent but i rewatched requiem for a dream and realized i need to have thick eyebrows again. having a strong point of the face is really special and fun

*(Jump scare warning, my face real close up)* One of my first recs on this good app was letting the uni grow back in. Think we’re getting pretty close to the final form. Not saying letting the brow go has been a physical lesson in accepting myself and the world as it comes to me. Not not saying that though. But I’ve been feeling good lately

I know a book is good if I’m tearing up. And this one did just that. Very sad. Very beautiful. Very heartbreaking. Written from the a journaling perspective of the main character who’s mentally disabled and becomes the perfect candidate for a surgery that allows him to be a functioning member to society and experience life from a new perspective.

been unemployed for the last 7 months due to burnout and health issues and although I was financially prepared to be unemployed for 5mo. I’ve spent the past 3mo aggressively job hunting and every interview I’ve had (about 10-15 of them) have been depleting my self esteem. however. I have a renewed sense of hope and anticipation for the right opportunity to cross my path and todays pre-interview moment was spent affirming myself and taking a selfie to remind myself that ‘I am indeed that bitch‘ and anyone would be lucky to have me as their employee.
