I live in the countryside and at night the sky is truly spectacular. I spotted these three bright stars next to each other and knew it had to be a part of some constellation. Found out it was orion‘s belt! I was really Starstruck (ha ha pun intended). Anyway I highly recommend going out to place where you can see the stars and sit with them for a while😊

I love finding Orion’s belt! I took an astronomy class in high school and it’s literally the only thing I remember and I’m not even sure that’s where I learned about Orion’s Belt. One of the stars that makes Orion’s shoulder is Betelgeuse and I love that star because there’s a good chance that it’s exploded and become a supernova and we don’t even know because the light from that explosion hasn’t reached us yet. The universe is so cool and beautiful.

Walking in the crisp winter nighttime and looking up to see the low hanging constellation in the west sky. Every year like clockwork, for as long as I can remember. It’s comforting to see tbh

i’ve lived in the same neighborhood my whole life and we get little-to-no light pollution. i always loved coming home at night with my mom or grandparents and staring at the stars as one of them parked our car and unlocked our door. i noticed the stars again sometime last winter, and now i always take a beat to stop and look at them before i go inside 🫶🏾
