I think there’s something really sweet about people—especially those who don’t see themselves as writers—writing their own vows. They can be kinda messy and specific and it doesnt matter as long as the sentiment is true and I think that’s beautiful (this week’s newsletter is sorta about this).

you mean to tell me this mans got me no matter what? that we made a vow in front of God and our closest friends and family and then celebrated into the night and now where ever life takes us we have each other? that we are one in the eyes of God? very cool and low key gave me a lot of confidence knowing i can commit to something that big.

after 4 years of consistent depression, i feel whole again. i’m not that good at drawing. but the meticulous action of filling in a little detail on a character, the small creases added at the corners of a smile, or the extra lines of thread you add to a sketch of pants makes me feel an intense pleasure for the small things around me
