SISH Beauty In-Shower Facial Treatment A new recommendation, but I'm loving how lightly exfoliating, deeply cleansing, and not stripping it is. It's a solid product, and it's not an everyday thing, but I can't scrub everyday anyways. It's vegan, gluten free, cruelty free, pregnancy safe and does not contain any harmful chemicals, parabens, or aluminum compounds. Eau Thermale Avène Tolerance Extremely Gentle Cleanser If I'm wearing more face makeup or a heavier eye look and I need to get it all off without ripping a layer of skin off in the process, this is the stuff. Best removed with a warm washcloth and some steam, in my opinion. Bioderma Sensibio H2O Yeah yeah, sometimes fancy water is worth it, and I think this is one of those times. It's fragrance-free, alcohol-free, and paraben-free, and doesn't make my skin more red. Best for light makeup or no makeup days when I don't want to wash with soap. Skinfix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Hydrating Cleanser In the shower, feeling like I need a good bubbly wash, I go for this Skinfix soaper. It's milky, foams, and doesn't leave the skin feeling stripped post-cleanse.

Okay, so if you haven’t heard of double-cleansing and you want to take better care of your skin, I highly recommend reading up on it. It’s essential the idea of first cleansing your skin with an oil cleanser to pick up any oil-based dirt off your face, then following up with a water-based oil to remove whatever is left. Ever since I started this ritual, ya boy has been glowin’. I’ve tried a few oil-based cleansers, but this one is my go-to because it gets the job done without making my face feel weird, and leaves it well hydrated. And I think the reviews speak for itself since it can be used on any skin type.

The other day I overheard a young skater tell their friends, “if you can’t be good, be safe!”
I love this -- it sounds good in Spanish ("cuidate") too. Maybe it's just age, but I've become fond of telling people to "be good." It's intentionally vague -- it could just be a grammatically poor version of "be well" Or it could be a suggestion to behave yourself (ish). It doesn't explain itself and that's my favorite part.
