Anytime anything small makes me happy, or brings me joy, I say to myself "today is gonna be a good day". It helps me start off my day on a positive note, and establishes the practice of hope as a daily discipline lol for example: - *leaf gets stuck on the window of our 5 story walk up* today's gonna be a good day - *sees a ladybug on the windowsill* today's gonna be a good day - *hears a fun song on the street while on a commute* today's gonna be a good day - *drinks a glass of water and it tastes good* today's gonna be a good day In my experience, it's positioned my frame of thought as "hey lets look for all the good in our day today" rather than "let me wait for something good to happen"; and that has made a world of difference when it comes to tackling some of the harder obstacles. So yea idk, give it a try and lmk how it goes <3

Sometimes (f.e. Before i go to sleep) I’ll just give myself a lil ted talk about how good/positive things are/can be and stuff I like about me or my life or whatever. It feels weird in the beginning but it feels great 🪂

i've been doing little things to make my life a little easier, like leaving a bottle of water, iron supplements and some belvita soft bakes right by my bed so i always have breakfast, water and iron in the morning, and keeping a very condensed set of skincare stuff right by my toothbrush - it might not be as effective as having more but getting myself to use a cleanser, moisturising sunscreen and vaseline every day has already made my skin feel so much better which has just gotten me more excited to do my routine every day. plus, getting body sprays and haircare stuff and just products in general that you really like the smell of is a game changer because now i get to smell like pineapples and caramel every day! it's such little things but it makes me happy and keeps me doing a routine of things that are good for me :))

1. get outside I don’t think there’s anything better to help you appreciate the world you live in than getting outside. If you have a raincoat it can even be fun if the weather is terrible! 2. When you do get out try and take everything in. How much has the grass grown? What new people are in your area? What can you smell? Try touching leaves or walls. Using all your senses gives you a new appreciation for things! 3. Try something new. Walk a new route. Try a new hobby. See a new movie. Eat a donut you always wanted to try. Go do some volunteering. 4. Just practice smiling and laughing, it actually makes you feel better and have a better time (according to some science). Ultimately I think it’s important to be out and a part of the world. That way you feel connected! Kind of rambled, so sorry if not quite what you’re looking for but hopefully helps a bit. Everyone feels pessimistic at times (even the happy clappy optimists!)

I have to disagree with the people who say that we need to “stay” and “fight“ for IG to be a better platform because in actuality, it’s our presence and engagement that gives them data, and therefore money. As long as they have those 2 things, they make their bottom line and won’t really care about its users desires unless they’re making a move for the optics. If we REALLY want to hold them accountable, we need to impact the money they make, which means permanently deleting or marking your account as inactive & never coming back. They’ll only care if they’re bleeding money— so make them bleed.

Now more than ever we gotta show up for the causes we care about!!! Online reposting and presence is good but it doesn't get the full job done unless we show up and show out!!!! Show up to your city/town hall meetings and be an active participant if you are able, bc if we don't speak IRL we don't exist

As someone who has terrible object permanence and can NEVER remember the existence of something if I can't see it (this includes objects AND goals), it was quite literally the best way to keep awareness of my long term goals, even when life started falling apart and getting hectic. At the end of the year I always look at my vision board and realize that I genuinely fulfilled a good majority of the goals on there, and it's so sweet Always keep your eyes on the prize yall and always dare to dream !!!
