I’ve had decent luck selling on depop but it can be a lot of work to photograph and post everything and then packaging and shipping. I wouldn’t go into it thinking you’re going to make a ton of money, it‘s an ok way to make a little pocket money. I’ve read a lot of horror stories on Reddit but never experienced being scammed irl (it helps to understand/be aware of potential scams though). Just be honest about the condition of the clothes, sell your items at a fair price and don’t let people lowball you. If you have nicer items (designer or indie brands) try Noihsaf Bazaar for a chiller experience.

I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING.... lots of discourse about this topic. But I'm not talking about going to thrift stores and buying items just to mark them up. If you're a girl with an overflowing closet of stuff you barely wear like me ... sell your shit on depop. I've made close to $1000 this year just getting rid of stuff that I already have - not a TON of money but it's not nothing. And it's incredibly easy. I spend probably 1.5hrs a week on the app listing stuff and make a good amount of passive income on it. It's p much free money. DO IT!!!

Forget Depop, Vestiaire and don't even mention The RealReal, selling your worldly shit on eBay is the way to go. I keep my descriptions short and sweet - the longer you tend to waffle on, the more license that grumpy aunt from Minnesota feels she has to ask you about the fabric composition of a $16 shirt from Banana Republic that you thrifted from Beacon's Closet. And not to brag, but I've been on there since 2016 and I pride myself on 100% positive customer reviews.

idk sometimes the sellers accept it, and then you get great stuff on the cheap cheap.

I recently learned about an animal I’d never heard of and it reminded me that while the world seems small sometimes it is still vast and mysterious and there are still things out there that will surprise and delight you.
