I hurt my thumb a couple weeks ago and ever since then I've been relying on text to speech for my texting on my phone and MacBook. It's proving to be extremely useful, especially as someone who struggles with reading and writing. Don't believe me this paragraph was written with text to speech, still don't believe me go to patreon.com/slushynoobz see the footage of me doing this talking to my laptop and typing instantaneously, I could never type instantaneously by myself, but now I can. -Hamzah

Having a voice read paragraphs of text aloud helps me catch so many more mistakes than I would otherwise. It also makes the process of proofreading extremely dry text (academic papers, legal documents) a little more engaging/bearable.

i don't remember what prompted me to even mess with my keyboard settings in the first place, but i do remember the peace that instantly washed over me once i saw how still my keyboard was when i began typing again afterwards. i hadn't realized how much noise that row of rapidly changing suggested words and emojis was making in my brain until it was gone. also this has forced me to confront how awful my spelling is and how much i've gotten used to passively having my mistakes fixed. it was an inadvertent but necessary step for me in trying to be more conscious and intentional when using my phone.

Do not be afraid if you did not feel moved after going to a concert, even if it was someone whom you really enjoyed. Music is so hard to make how can they do it well live. Not only is it usually loud but it’s loud for like the whole time. Also everyone is fucked up lowkey. Some genres translate especially badly to live so yeah. Not to mention festivals… -Hamzah
