I mostly read fiction too, but I find biographies & memoirs easy to get into because it can often read like fiction. I really loved Erik larson’s, “devil in the white city” - Chicago and world fair history mixed with a bio of a serial killer Michelle Zauner (of japanese breakfast) has A great memoir called “crying in h mart“ that also had me crying in public If you’re into music or art or whatever, you can usually find a legend who wrote about what it was like to come up in their time. It’s pretty fun to read ppls‘ stories

The short story King. He began his career writing short stories for magazines while he worked as a copywriter at GM. He hated this job and used some themes from GM that he found to create satirical short stories. Many of them are quite dystopian and science fiction, which I don't normally like but there's a way Kurt Vonnegut writes that makes certain stories that wouldn't otherwise interest me totally enthralling. He's funny, satirical, provocative, and relatable in a lot of ways. Go read it! Vonnegut isn't an author you've never heard of, but this is definitely something worth reading.

It's annoying for taking photos, but besides that it's a really good way to make the phone a less enticing timewaster. I have done it on previous devices, but used my new phone as an opportunity to switch back to grey. We'll see how long it lasts this time, though.

I get that everyone has a phone, but having spatial awareness of time at a glance is nice.
