little drum hits on Simulation Swarm

0:52 the drum kick patterns switches ever so slightly to match the vocal cadence and it’s so satisfying because it only happens a couple times all song, but this is the first moment. also the flam right at 3:56 goes so hard. this whole song is a masterpiece but small choices make it so dynamic.

Go listen to Ushers’ “Yeah!” featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris, and you’ll get the picture. Every 6 seconds. The entire song. Song is 105 beats per minute. Playtime is 4:10. I didn’t count it, but maths says that’s like 41.7 hits from the triangle. Now, imagine that song without the triangle. Not. The. Same. Shout out idiophone percussion instruments.
