Ancient Greek mathematician drowned by Pythagoras's followers for discovering that the square root of 2 was irrational (or so the legend goes). I think of him often - deserved better!!

really messes with my head. really obsessed with it. can’t wait to be a practicing physicist and mathematician. Its real and it isn’t real but it is totally real.
I am personally a huge fan of leibniz! he (debated) invented calculus. the invention of calculus (calculus not having been explained/not existing) is not something I can process. It not ’existing’ and then ‘existing’ the next day. It’s also really fun.
