There are also some books i havent completed yet. Like, Metamorphosis ,The bell jar and pride and prejudice (i only read like 30 pages) . I want to complete them as soon as my exams are over.
I read a lot for school. To ease the pain that causes, I’ve decided to read even more. But stuff I choose. For the love of god I just need to lessen the percent of my time occupied by utter academic gibberish.
Here’s what I purchased on Saturday. I‘m reading Dubliners first and saving Dostoyevsky for when the weather‘s less depressing.
I’ve read the Wittgenstein book and Waiting for Godot but just need to own my own copies at this point.
i usually find myself in reading ruts when i’m taking classes and being assigned books or when i’m trying to keep up with new releases and the “smart” books that are usually dense and long. i can usually get myself out of this rut by picking out a book that looks fun to me, like a book set on a beach or something I loved in middle school. I’m reading From The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler right now and it’s just FUN!!! I also am very much not someone who feels like they have to finish a book. Life is too short. I think that helps!
