in my old age (almost 26) i am realizing i enjoy tea more over coffee. i never thought this would happen. i only need the amount of caffine from half a cup of coffee. earl grey has the same effect as a full cup and doesn't make me feel like i am going to vibrate out of my skin. oolong and rooibos are the most delicious flavors on earth. i cr*am my pants every time i find a place that makes a GOOD chai latte. anyone else discovering the many earthly delights of tea? share ur favs <3

im becoming a much bigger tea drinker than in the past. ive always loved chai but the more herbal and earthy flavors are more enticing these days, plus I feel much better than coffee, but idk if that's just placebo lmao lemon ginger and peppermint have been favs in the morning :))

love kusmi tea, esp prince vladimir which is an orange-infused earl grey. this one cafe near my hometown sold this brand, and i always loved going there to try a new blend.
i have also been meaning to buy some tea from leaves and flowers, esp their chai!
for green teas, rishi jade cloud is so very potent and provides a mellow caffeine release.
i also recently visited the coffee and tea exchange in chicago, they have so many unique offerings. tried their darjeeling and it was lovely!

the tannins in tea make me barf and herbal teas also make me want to barf. As a caffeine crackhead tea also just does not hit so I prefer bean water over leaf water. But I LOVE a matcha, earl grey, or chai latte they are such a treat!!!

i went to an all-girls boarding school in western Massachusetts. almost got expelled, DID get suspended for some dumb, regular teenage shit that the faculty reacted to like i was an actual felon instead of a 15 yr old, formerly homeschooled goody-two-shoes. anyway, it recently came out that one of the history teachers that has been there for 30 years was grooming and SA'ing girls and the faculty had been covering it up. luckily i was never involved with him, never had a class with him, but its still weird knowing that he was a dorm parent and would do week-end nightly check-ins in the dorms, he lived at school with us practically, had a house directly next to campus, etc. i wasn't close with him but i KNEW him, he gave me bad vibes, and now 30 years later all his shit and the schools shit is getting aired out. feels good to be vindicated in my suspicions and the unfair treatment of students at that hellschool but my heart goes out to the many victims, named and unnamed, that he violated over the years.
