I'm an artist, I'm also a perfectionist. In some ways they go hand in hand but in some ways it's a paralyzing combo. I feel the need to plan until it's perfect. But I've been trying to let myself just do it. Because I am an artist, and I do know what I like, and if it doesn't turn out I can change it later.
Letting go of that need for it to be perfect the first time always helps things go well. I'm sure this is applicable to many things. But decorate shit. Nothing is that permanent, if it gets fucked up it can be changed again.
Anyways I finally decorated my phone case as I've been meaning to, and I'm so very pleased with how it turned out.
On to fucking with my clothes, patches and embroidery here I come.
PS: a friend who does not know I go by moonbeams on here but knows the relic of a name from my art instagram handle pointed out that it's literally moonbeams, which was unintentional, and hilarious, and I hope you guys will appreciate with more context than they had

I've recently been into making collages on my walls, and not like the tezza photos collage from 2019. I have collected so many photos, doodles, letters and other little knick-knack things throughout the years, especially this year, and I just love slapping them on my wall. I had the idea probably because of Pintrest, but I have also had all of these things for a while just sitting in a drawer. I thought they needed to be displayed in some way. Work of advise, don't be like me and use command strips for any painted wall because it will rip the paint off. I did it in my old room, and it did not end well. Use painters tape. Anyway, I did this collage at 1 am today!

I tried watercolors yesterday and today! Not as scary as I thought they'd be :•)
I then put stickers on the case >>>:)
This made me very happy and motivated me to do some more watercoloring today too! ⋆˚✿˖°
I always put stickers on my sketchbooks, and in my letters. They just instantly make everything feel more special!

More specifically, watching your favorite rom com and then your crush's favorite rom com (is there an adult word for crush), back to back at the same time as they are watching them. But instead of the social exhaustion of video calling you just text while you watch them. Even better you guys like each other mutually, so it should be exhilerating, but they cannot and will not be with you so instead it's just a lesson in your terrible self restraint. Exhilerating anyway. Good movies, good conversation. Unbeatable.
