This scene when the T-rex first appears and it shows the water shaking. This is exactly why I love movies man. It’s so simple but immersive.

A.I. as it exists currently will never be capable of truly mimicking the human mind, including the many emotions we feel on a day to day basis. Right now, A.I. is mostly just advanced algorithms that rip things from whatever its source material is or takes what it can from the wealth of all human knowledge that is the internet. Because of that, A.I. cannot grasp the human experience. It can pretend to, by pulling a post from any social media website and saying ā€œwell, when this situation happens, most people tend to feel Xā€œ but that’s not real emotion, is it? However, technology is constantly evolving. If at some point in the future, some tech bro can figure out how to perfectly and consistently create digital neural networks that mimic the human brain, then yes, that A.I. might be able to feel emotion, though it will never be ā€œhuman emotionā€ as A.I.s will never be truly and completely human in the sense you and I are. So I guess it depends on what your definition of ā€œemotionā€ is. If you mean emotion as in ā€œthe full sensory and mental experience that emotions spawn in humans,ā€ then the answer is no, an A.I. will never fully experience the complexities of human emotion. If you mean emotion as in ā€œWhen X stimuli occurs, I react X way,ā€ then yes, an A.I would be capable of that. Overall, A.I. bad, humans good. For some media to peruse, I’d recommend Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Phillip K. Dick (if you haven’t read it already) as well as anything related to Bladerunner (which is based on the aforementioned book). This is a great question, thanks for asking it!

Recently I went through a rough patch for a couple months where I was only filling about one page of my sketchbook every week and it felt like buns :( However, a couple weeks ago I started hyper-fixating on Transformers and I’ve drawn so many of those stupid fucking robots I’m not even lying to you. So basically what that means is try and find something that would appeal to you and draw inspiration from that! Expanding on the inspiration piece- for embroidery, I have a huge Pinterest board of things I’d like to put on my jackets/jeans/shirts. There’s no shame in taking inspiration!!!! Finally, if none of these things work (and I know it’s easier said than done) literally just force yourself to do one creative thing a day. When Iā€˜m bored at school I draw random faces and people passing by. Just by forcing yourself to get back into the habit, hopefully that will encourage your brain to return to its former creative glory. Good luck!!!!!
