Cowgirl Clue is a Texas-born multidisciplinary artist and musician who got her start in 2017. Pulling inspiration from the South, the supernatural, her teenage years spent on tumblr & at punk shows, and runway fashion, she’s created a unique and ethereal world with her two self-produced LPs. The latter, Rodeo Star, is a 13-track album of laid back vocals layered over club beats inspired by techno, bro-country, shoegaze, and 2000s electro pop. Its release was accompanied by 11 visualizers and 2 music videos, solidifying the Cowgirl Clue aesthetic of low waisted jeans, boots on muddy fields, horses frolicking behind white picket fences, and pick up trucks. I’ve been under her spell since catching her live in 2021, and have sported one of her iconic Honk If You Believe In Fairies bumper stickers ever since.
