Matthew Gasda is a New York City-based director, and writer with over a dozen plays and a handful of novels (such as 2020’s The Blue Period) under his belt. He’s best known for his most recent play, DIMES SQUARE, which opened in a loft in Greenpoint and became an underground hit for it’s coke-filled depiction of the downtown scene we hate to love & love to hate. If you missed the play’s limited run earlier this year, it’s available in paperback along with some of his other work. His new play, ZOOMERS, just premiered at the The Brooklyn Center for Theater Research (which he also runs) and will run through November, you can find more info here. He also has a great Substack where he shares his private (public) diary. Lucky for us, Matthew is here to tell us what he’s been into.
