Stephanie LaCava is a New York City-based writer and publisher. She’s written two books so far, 2020’s The Superrationals (Semiotext(e)) and 2022’s I Fear My Pain Interests You (Verso), and contributed to publications such as Vogue, Texte zur Kunst, Artforum, Spike Art Magazine, New York Times Style Magazine, Interview, and more. Her latest is a favorite of mine, and if my recommendation isn’t enough, Michael Imperioli (PI #285) praised it on Perfectly Imperfect and Tao Lin reviewed it for The New York Times. Stephanie is also the founder of independent publisher Small Press, and will release a co-translation of unseen poems from the incredible mind of Zoe Lund (Ms. 45, Bad Lieutenant, etc) later this month.
