Mike is a New York City-based rapper. He started by sharing his DIY music to Bandcamp, catching the attention of Earl Sweatshirt, and quickly becoming one of the underground favorites of the experimental rap genre. Since his early projects, he’s collaborated with artists like The Alchemist and Danny Brown. His sound is singular as hell, it shows not only his deep knowledge of and appreciation for hip hop but it's also incredibly introspective and sincere. He just dropped a couple new singles, which you can find here, and earlier this year he released a new album titled Pinball** with Tony Seltzer. Lucky for us, Mike’s here to tell us what he’s been into.

Biking is just too fun & freeing. I just bought my own bike recently and that shit is too hard. Also it’s the best time to listen to music.

I think when I was younger and making music, a lot of older jazz musicians would kinda have this super pretentious tone to them. So it kinda threw me off liking live band music but as of recent, I’ve fell back in love. Mark William Lewis definitely helped w that & kokoroko. Yussef dayes experience as well w my brother Venna.
