I always loved philosophy in school, it’s been one of my favorite subjects to study. And with it, I feel there is so much value in the uncertainty that it often provides. while it was at first frustrating not being able to come to a concrete answer, I’ve learned that’s what makes it so important to the human experience. The person that has no tincture of their own philosophy is imprisoned by the prejudices they derive from common sense, habitual beliefs of their age or their nation. To truly open yourself to the world, and to truly take control of your mind, you cannot let those convictions grow in your mind without any co-operation or consent of your own deliberate belief. Uncertainty is inevitable in this world, and that’s ok. At a time where everything seems to be so absolute, be uncertain in your beliefs or ideas, it’s a great step to growth.

hiii i have found it is so easy to spiral when thinking about the way things are or the way they went. it is easy 2 lose yrself in a stream of whatifs forever ever with no end but just for a day when i let myself live in the present the world was clearer than it had been in years! i think you should do that more. let things go and enjoy in the present. you deserve to live
these r the rocks i found. remember the past, accept it, focus on what u want in the present. i love you and i love being alive

I spend all day in the office, and since i live in the same building as my office i spend all day inside. I love being in there because I can literally control who i see and who i don’t, but occasionally i get cabin fever and need to go outside. I usually take my bike out. A bicycle is the life hack of NYC. If you don’t have one get a citi bike. ride around the city, put on some headphones. Most relaxing way to get some air and see the city. Late afternoons are the best.
