I’ve worn almost exclusively menswears since I was a teenager: Oversized blazers, vintage ties, and vests. Over the years, my tie collection has become a staple in my wardrobe and takes up half of my closet. Some recent finds include a light pink Ralph Lauren silk masterpiece, a gifted Gucci patterned tie, and a vintage Dior number. My ties are forever.

This is not going to be about where you should buy/how you should buy clothes, or what you should buy. There’s just something special about having some items that have lasted you forever, and that you still have managed to wear regularly through personal style evolutions, wear and tear, and couldn’t dream of ever getting rid of. It’s part of your uniform and yours alone even if there are millions just like it elsewhere in stores, in closets or thrift/resale stores. They don’t even need to be expensive or luxury items. Personal favs for me include a plain light blue oxford button down from J Crew 10+ years ago, a Barbour motorcycle jacket of a similar age I bought after one of my first post college jobs and moving to a new city, and then also an Ohio State football (alma mater!) t shirt I got as a kid before even attending the school, which still somehow fits me believe it or not! Would love to give items like these to my future kids!

I grew up wearing a uniform my entire life. Blazer, tie, black shoes and the whole nine yards. It took me a long time to figure out my own personal style. I wore a lot of American Eagle and Abercrombie whatever shirts throughout college and then moved over to Urban Outfitters. I gravitate towards really good graphic tees that I can form a deep connection with. I used to dress very e-boy and with a lot of all-black but I think it's because I didn't have a connection to my physical body and was always doing whatever I could to shroud it. I'm currently finding myself gravitating toward a lot of well made, older branded stuff that I find in thrift stores. Tommy Hilfiger is a big one I jump for but also some Ralph Lauren or Gap stuff. I didn't used to like collars but I've bought more collared shirts in the past 6 months than like ever. Very prep. I'm always wearing my checkered vans tho. I'm not sure I'll ever 'dress my age'

My sapphire moleskin has been the home to some of my favorite essays, poems, and late-night thoughts. It’s small enough to fit in my blazer pocket and an absolute necessity at Sunday morning coffee. A perfect journal is priceless for all over-thinking creatives, like myself, who need a place to house their misc thoughts and feelings. I actually wrote ‘Goose Eggs’ in a series of blue moleskins.

Scroll, edit, comment, duet... TikTok is my favorite platform right now. There’s something for everyone on there, and always more content to consume. Generation Z is such a cool, hyper-mobile generation and I admire so many young, stylish creatives on the platform.
