This summer, my sister, my manager and I were all waiting for what felt like an hour for a train out of Long Island back to the city. We had a million bags, my sisterā€™s cat in a carrier, and mild to severe hangovers. We decided to kill time by making up a game where we would say a celebrity and everyone had to guess their height. Closest guess wins the round (duh). Sounds like so much fun, right? Well it was. Could make for some sort of drinking game. Most celebrities are very small people. Interesting!

It probably has a better name but this is what everyone I know has called it. Itā€™s a classic with simple rules that everyone can follow. You put a famous or well known persons name on the head of the person next to you and you go round asking 1 yes or no question at a time until someone guessed their person, then theyve won. You can then continue until everyone has guessed theirs correctly. This is a great one when people are feeling less creative/energised so donā€™t want to do anything like charades. a good end of the night game when wine or time have slowed you all down.

Try to guess what celebrities are 64 w whomever and really talk it through before you google the answer. Itā€™s so much fun to hear why people think someone one is or isnā€™t this age. You can probably pick another age but Iā€™ve only played it with 64.

In my ongoing sibling chat, when one of us is watching a movie we've all seen (usually from childhood), we take a picture of an obscure scene, making it as difficult as possible for the others to guess what it is. Inevitably, no matter how obscure I try to get, I'll get a text seconds later with the right answer. Their skill is mindboggling.

Iā€™m usually a tv girl. I always binge watch series for hours sitting in my room, and I also have a strange habit of bailing on a show a few episodes before the series finale lol. Idk what thatā€™s all about. Literally watched Ozark NONSTOP for days and then got to season 4 episode 2, and was likeā€¦.suddenly iā€™m out. Currently working on bailing on Gilmore Girls because every character is in desperate need of a vow of silence. BUT recently Iā€™ve been movie marathoning. Watching, like..three movies in a row. This seems super boring and normal, but it is like an exercise in paying fucking attention to one thing at a time, which I struggle with lol. Recently, my manager and I were upstate sitting by a fireplace and we watched Autumn Sonata, followed by the Blair Witch Project, and ended the day with Eyes Wide Shut. Iā€™d never seen Eyes Wide Shut, itā€™s cuteness overload. Boobies galore. Autumn Sonata had me weeping - went into it thinking it was just a cozy fall movie about two girls who do nothing (my favorite genre) lmao. But yeah, having a movie marathon day instead of a watching tv while looking at your phone moment, is a lot more fun imo.

Obsessed with perfume. For a while I was searching for a signature scent, but then the hunt just became too much fun, and now Iā€™ve ended up with a full on vanity tray in my bathroom piled with a different smell for every mood. I used to wear only China Rain, a rollerball scent my mom got me in high school from a perfumery in LA called Spiritbody. I still have a bottle of that, but when I wear it Iā€™m transported to a more insecure time lol. Right now I love Shadow in the Water from Diptyque for when I want to smell clean and romantic. I wear Smudge by Heretic almost every day because itā€™s colder out and it makes me feel so warm and cozy, like iā€™ve been sitting by a fire all day, and like I give good advice and paint landscapes. Perfume is definitely a splurge, but it lasts for so long, and I think itā€™s really special to have a beautiful scent that people can recognize you by. I am going to gatekeep my secret combination of Byredo perfumes that I wear constantly, and Iā€™m sorry about that. Itā€™s just too good and too me.

Iā€™m a Bette stan. I discovered her a couple years ago when I had covid and was locked away on my birthday in my bedroom with a bottle of wine and a plate of chicken and rice. I was raised on movies and tv, but I somehow never knew about Bette. I always knew the song, ā€œBette Davis Eyesā€ of course, but didnā€™t know just how special her eyes really are lol until I watched All About Eve. It was my 26th birthday, I was a little tipsy, and I was scrolling through movies on the TCM hub on Hbo Max and saw All About Eve, and was likeā€¦iā€™ve heard of thisā€¦letā€™s see what this is all about. I was not prepared for the obsession that was sparked in me the second I saw Bette. ā€œYOUR FACE LOOKS LIKE A JUNK YARDā€ she said that! I was watching her perform, and was likeā€¦this woman is an Aries no doubt in my mind. Turns out her birthday is just a few days after mine. I wish I could have a joint birthday party with her. Sheā€™s so funny, so in control, and allows the camera to see every side of herself, the ugly and the stunning. Ive watched so many interviews of her, I follow all the stan accounts. I canā€™t get enough of her. She makes me want to perform. She makes me proud to be an insane aries woman.
