I think falling in love is one of the most beautiful things a human can experience. This movie makes me feel comforted, and reminds me of the art of a shared conversation between two people who admire each other upon first meeting. It's a slow-paced film that an old-school hopeless romantic, like myself, can resonate with. It feels like poetry to watch.

Rewatched this on Valentine’s Day when I was feeling down and it made me giggle for the first time in weeks. this movie is inexplicably human and to an extent everything we are told we are not supposed to do — waste away a day and fall in love with a stranger. In the end, the movie is about giving in — to ourselves, to our deepest desires no matter how impractical.

The scene where they go into the listening booth in the record store and they put on Kath Bloom and smile shyly and glance fleetingly at each other while listening. One of my all time favourite movie scenes.

Each morning I have one or two dates, a ripe banana with a heaping amount of natural peanut butter and two shots of espresso - either black or iced with oat milk. I strongly value the healing properties found within the food we ingest, I actually find it quite inspiring creatively. I’ll also make sure to drink lots of water with fresh squeezed lemons. I look forward to it every day.

Frogs inspire me a lot and have been a consistent symbol used within my work. My favorite species is called the Vietnamese Mossy Frog, because of their unique bumpy texture. Personally speaking, I aspire to be like the Mossy Frog. Strangely alluring, uniquely charming, and distinctively individualistic.

One of my most favorite items I’ve designed recently is a miniature coffee cup ring for my Café Kitsuné by Beepy Bella collaboration. It’s handmade with glass, and the little cup is filled with “coffee” (brown glass). It sits on top of your finger as if it’s meant to exist there. Meret Oppenheim and Alice in Wonderland (specifically the Mad Hatter’s tea party) inspired this piece. It will be available for purchase at Café Kitsuné’s Silver Lake location in LA.
