my father has an eclectic suite of music to his tastes, he was the influence with LLB and Eric Johnson, but i also have a mother who LOVES nickelback and thus i listened to them pretty often too, i like em :)

Playing your mom songs from the 70s

I’ve been getting super into The Bee Gees, Todd Rundgren, Marvin Gaye, etc the last few years. It’s really fun to play them for my mom and hear her talk about how she danced to Fanny (Be Tender With My Love) at her prom etc.

I used to think this was a real cultural holiday because my childhood best friend celebrated it with her family. She was Greek so I assumed it was a Greek Orthodox thing for a long time. I was always jealous! I wanted to participate in feats of strength and air my grievances, but alas I was not Greek…
