Every January I binge all of Madonna’s music and I’ve come to my conclusion that my favorite iteration of Madge’s music is when she goes for a more somber midtempo semi-ambient moment (I don’t think I’m describing this accurately, but What It Feels Like for a Girl, Drowned World/Substitute for Love, you could maybe even throw Get Together on here). I think it’s just an exciting lane for her because I think of her as this loud and brash figure, so when she goes for a quieter and more laid back moment it’s really attention grabbing. Woah!!!! I totally queened out writing this. Check please!

saw her at the forum on tuesday and have been playing her self-titled 1983 debut album ever since. "burning up"? "everybody"? "lucky star"? "borderline"???? good lord. it's nice to listen to music that is about dancing and having a fun time together

ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS EVER!!!! “No Ordinary Love” is a hypnotizing opener and “Like a Tattoo” and “Kiss of Life” are classics. Also check out the Kelela cover of “Like a Tattoo” it’s pretty faithful to the original, but I just love Kelela

this is so crucial and I think it’s something that translates better irl as opposed to text. It just shows how excited you and really sets the stage for what you’re about to say. It’s almost like putting an exclamation point at the begining of your sentence (like how they do in Spanish)
Ex:
I’m so excited!
vs.
Omg I’m so excited!
