•get in a fight with a turkey during rush hour traffic on the mass ave bridge
•seconding: sofra, bodega, toscanini’s (best ice cream in the world), spoke wine bar, brattle theater, all the museums already mentioned, mount auburn cemetery (say hi to my friends and family rip), not spending too much time in seaport
•if you do need some food in seaport: GRECO is the best fast casual greek/mediterranean spot i’ve ever been to (i’m also greek), flour (over the bridge but close), Chickadee, Row 34
•BEST QUINTESSENTIAL SEAFOOD in Boston proper: belle isle (ok this is RIGHT over the line in winthrop, but you can taste see and smell east boston)
•Bartley’s Burger Cottage in Harvard Sq is an exceptional experience and a culinary treat (order a lime rickey and onion rings too)
•Harvard’s Carpenter Center, right next to the Harvard Art Museums, is Le Corbusier’s only building in North America and hosts small exhibits and public programs
•At Harvard Art be sure to stop on the fourth floor to see parts of the pigment collection on display (whole thing is viewable albeit from across the courtyard)
•I will never give harvard too much love so shouting out MIT Museum and MIT List Visual Arts Center
•The McMullen (BC’s museum) is stunning and has great little shows often
•MassArt museum is next to MFA/ Isabella S-G — and there’s a GREAT place nearby, Eventide, for a tiny, expensive, but DELICIOUS lobster roll and maple soft serve
•Further out: the Decordova museum and sculpture park, the Walter Gropius House, the Addison gallery (phillips andover’s museum)
