Arguably Brett Easton Ellisā€™ magnum opus. I love that he sued Zoolander for stealing his IP and won. Itā€™s a story about a male fashion model who becomes a terrorist. As in other Easton Ellis books, there is a mantra: ā€œThe better you look the more you see.ā€ This is deeply true. Beautiful people are punished by being exposed to all the most horrifying things in the world. Epsteinā€¦need I say more?

LA getting you down? because its Too Boring? Escape into this provocative - bordering-smut novel that takes place in more exciting, drug fueled times. Itā€™s called ā€™The Shardsā€™ and I read it earlier this summer and could not put it down. Like most of Ellisā€™ writing, itā€™s got well dressed preppy hot people and cocaine and serial killers. After reading ā€™The Shardsā€™, Iā€™ve been very visually inspired by 1980s LA šŸŽ„šŸŽ„šŸŽ„
