Why do you come to a repertory screening at a movie theater to talk through the whole thing… damn you to hell!! Furthermore, people who laugh at anything remotely weird, uncomfortable, or provocative in a film… I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove but part of the human experience is sitting in discomfort. Not to be the laughter police because there is humor in absurdity, but I can’t stand people laughing at everything just because it’s “weird” and they don’t want to seem like they condone the message on screen.

The best parts of the best movies are the stretches of seeming nothingness or tedium that are actually doing the revolutionary work of allowing you to think. Drugs can help but also you don't need drugs because the movie is the drug. Corollary to this: loud concerts perform the same service. Stare at the stage until you don't see it anymore, focus on the music until you don't hear it anymore, and disappear into yourself until you are all alone in the crowd. Works better the closer you are to the stage. Eliminate mediation and drink directly from the firehose

This is my plan for today. And I will sneak the banana bread into the theater and eat it.
