this one is a sarcastic recommendation. you probably shouldn’t do this. all i’ll have to show my grandchildren someday are photos of me with my face contorted into various unattractive expressions. i’ll say “well… this is just who i was at the time…” and they’ll have nothing to post on their instagram stories when it’s Grandmother’s Day.
my Genuine recommendation is this: smile for photos. do it for your grandkids.

it's my signature. smiling just feels wrong.. i like feeling like i'm derek zoolander. I like my face, my lip shape, at least most of the time. locking in on the camera is pretty silly to me :3

I was once a fly on the wall of a workplace in which a very prominent American theater director and a very prominent American clown were both employed. Both older men. I witnessed the director sharing a clip from Family Guy with the clown, where Peter confesses to not liking The Godfather as the Griffin family drowns to death. The clown watched in complete delight. He asked the director, “and he does all the voices?”
”yeah,” the director said.
”that’s remarkable,” the clown added.
