Amazing music venue in Winnipeg that lasted 10 beautiful, formative years. You could always show up and see a million people you know and love (kind of a Winnipeg thing in general but rate of success here was very high). Had one last amazing tbh bender (lol) there last night. Worried about what will be left “in this town” now that it’s gone but grateful for this place providing so many of the best memories of my youth (which is still ongoing btw).

Where I first fell in love with live music! Legendary venue that I’ve just been lucky enough to grow up down the street from. Some favorite shows there: - Kimya Dawson - fun. and Motion City Soundtrack - Band of Skulls and the Whigs - Butch Walker - Mutemath - The Whigs Anniversary Show - Best Coast - Kishi Bashi - Hannibal Burress - Of Montreal - John Cameron Mitchell (during one night of the Cracker Camp-In) - Tom Petty Memorial Night - Drive By Truckers Homecoming - REM Tribute show ft the Indigo Girls, Fred Armisen, John Cameron Mitchell, Elf Power, Darius Rucker - REM Tribute fronted by Michael Shannon

My parents bought me these chocolates from Costco and they’re insanely good. I go through them so quick. They are made from a recipe that the mom of the owners’ made while suffering from cancer. It’s kind of advertised as being like a fundraiser type product but I can’t seem to find any evidence that the proceeds go towards any charity. Maybe it’s my own assumptions but the vibe on the packaging is really that. They’re awesome though.

Everything good in life happens when you stand up. A party isn’t a party until people run out of places to sit. Just try standing up—don’t restrict yourself to the sofa all night when you’re with your friends. It just feels better to stand up.
